Registration is open
2nd August, 2021
Registration for the 2022 reunion is open.
Registration will close early May to provide catering numbers.
You will receive a confirmation email with the bank details. The price for both functions is $150 per person. ($300 a couple).
The 2022 Collins Walton 50th Anniversary Reunion will be held on Bribie Island, Queensland, which is located approximately 70km north of Brisbane between Monday 23rd and Wednesday 25th May 2022.
The island is well populated and has great facilities, stunning surf beaches, 4wd tracks to explore, sheltered fishing areas on calm side, boating opportunities, two golf courses and much more. There are plenty of accommodation options; motels, units, cabins, AirBNB, etc and two caravan parks within 2-3km of the Bribie Island RSL which is where our functions will be held.
The RSL operates a shuttle bus and the island has taxis and ubers. We have chosen a location out of Brisbane, Gold or Sunshine Coasts in an endeavour to make this reunion financially accessible to as many of our members as possible.
The organising committee (Ron Nipperess, Glenn Murch, Oscar Brown and Kim Nisbet) are asking those who are considering coming to to register Queensland for the 50th Golden Anniversary Reunion asap to assist us in catering numbers.
We are accepting part payments of $50 if you would like to spread the payment out (just remember to put your name against the deposit so we know who’s money we have). Quite a lot of the guys in caravans are booking into the Bongaree Caravan Park if you are looking for somewhere close (approx 1.2 Km). There is also onsite cabins there, but not a lot, so be quick. The RSL runs buses as well so you can get picked up from there or at other locations on the island.
The costs will be for food only (no drinks packages); you will be able to buy your own drinks at all functions at RSL prices.
If you have any ideas or input for the committee we would absolutely welcome them; please use the Contact Us form. Additionally if you know of any members who are not on email or social media, please let them know (although we do have some phone numbers and addresses for some).
